The Research and Development team at Mahaphant cooperates with various Thai Government Institutes, Universities and alliance Corporations in order to ensure they are at the forefront of technological advances and pursue their challenging goal. Together, they share resources and knowledge and utilise state of the art equipment and technology to carry out their research and development activities for Mahaphant, which have over the years given rise to numerous innovations in the fibre-reinforced cementitious composites, fibre cement and concrete roof tile industries.

Through our extensive research and development activities, we are proud to be the first company to launch an array of wood substitute products as an alternative to natural wood under its Shera brand. These products, with their valuable properties like fire & weather resistance, are suitable for both interior and exterior applications and have become hugely popular both in the Thai domestic and international markets.

The creativity of our Research and Development department combined with the innovative mindset of our Management continues to give Mahaphant a leading edge in the construction industry and, as part of the organization’s long term plan, our R&D Team aims to become the centre of design and innovation to support our teams and keep pace with continual growth.
